Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Ouch....Start the season at riverside will be tough for us but i don't care all of these if Gerrard wears the armband in our shirt.

I think the fixture is okay for us but all three big guns will be the stumbling stone in the early of the season.

I am not going to watch the Liverpool game with live telecast because we can edge them with 2 goals to nil. Everton v Mu will be the better choice if Owen joins Rooney at the front line. :;):

Reds are best starters

The fixtures for the 14th Premiership season have been released, whetting the appetite of the football-starved masses.

Each set of fans attending the 10 games over the opening weekend will file through the turnstiles, optimistic that their team can fulfill the expectations placed on them for the forthcoming season.

Liverpool have been The Premiership's best starters and are the only team to average over two points per game in the first fixture of each Premiership campaign.

However, The Reds' record has suffered in the past two seasons when a 1-1 draw at Tottenham (2004/05) and a 1-2 defeat against Chelsea (2003/04) have blemished an even better return.

This season sees the European champions travel to Middlesbrough, a side who have struggled in their first games. Boro's only opening day victory in 10 attempts came in 2000/01, with a 3-1 win at Coventry City.

TEAM                   P W D L PTS PTS/P
Liverpool              13 8 3 2  27    2.08
Arsenal                13 8 2 3  26    2.00
Manchester United 13 8 2 3  26    2.00
Chelsea                13 6 4 3  22    1.69

Take it easy and the best luck for us.
Reds is the sacred colour before this world was born.

The away game at Blackburn worries me.
