Owen.... - The traitor

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby 7_Kewell » Tue Jun 21, 2005 1:54 pm

A couple of seasons ago I was sitting in the main stand with four of my kids and ended up squaring up to a knobhead supporter who had slagged Owen off throughout the match. At the time Owen was having a lean period and was just getting on with the hamstring strengthening exercises. he was still showing better positioning than the rest of Houllier's mistakes but was getting loads of abuse for a couple of misses. This wasn't just one moron but there was a serious number of idiots having a go at him.
I really believe that this constant, unjustified, abuse helped make his mind up to move on. Loyalty is a two way thing and IF he decides to come back to the Premiership but not to Liverpool them the idiots who threw the insults should look at themselves and not start this "traitor" rubbish. We will always owe Michael a debt of thanks for the performances he gave.

good point....but it would be bitter to see him go to scumchester....but if he does....then he does, i won't lose any sleep over it...he'll be their 6th! striker after  Rooney, Saha, RVN, Smith and Solskjaer.

Personally i thikn Cisse will be the boy for scoring our goals next season!   :eyebrow

Then i started visiting a bit more often and just put in a few posts here n there where i felt i had an openion.

I just thought it was a bit sad that you could turn on Owen after all he did for Liverpool. If you had not won the CL, then Gerrard would have left and you would have turned on him too --- anyway thats your openion and your entitled to have it.

And im not looking for sympathy from anyone - im on a forum of a club i dont support - but of a club i enjoy watching and of a club whos manager, players and supporters appeal to me. So i could care less if people on here sympathize with me or not.

Anyway .. if im not welcome here let the MOD ban me or tell me so - so i wont post anymore. I dont need you talking shi.t to me and im not asking you to respond to my posts or even read them.

My problem is not with you dude, my prob is that ppl come here looking for arguments, and thats not what this thread is about.

That I agree with. How many were calling stevie a traitor or claiming his heart was not with the club just months ago!? I doubt that Owen would go to the mancs after spending most of his career with Liverpool.
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

if thats your motive for coming here, then good. just dun create any trouble here. to correct you, we DID NOT turn our back on owen, HE TURNED his back on us. he turned his back on the city of liverpool and as far as i know, if he ever joins the mancs, then let him join. like i said in my earlier post, what he does now doesnt matter anymore since he is not our player. i respect him as a player and acknowledge all he has done for us but i hate him as a person. im sure rafa will want some1 who really wants to play for us like someone earlier said some1 like jamie. we want this kind of players at our club, not people who leave once they think they cannot win anything at our beloved club. lfc was the place that nurtured his talent, that he grew up in and gave him fame and fortune, if he thinks he is bigger than the club then go ahead and play for them. we dun need people like him here. signing off for now den.
