I really hope this doesnt amount to anything, and I'm sure he wants to stay with Real to sort out his career in Spain, but, it doesnt look good. I know its a rumour, but this has to be posted, I mean, he has already turned his back on us, but to go and stab it with a knife and join our most hated rival, I'm sorry it doesn't sit well with me, and Im not sure if I can accept it. He will get the boo's and I hope that he does from the Kop if he joins ManUSA.

So what??

Owen turned his back on this club the minute he fu.cked off to spain to 'win things'.  Personally I don't want him back here anyway and if he decides to go to the scum then it doesn't really make a difference to me.  He's overrated (for reasons that i have discussed before and can't be bothered repeating) and he wouldn't be an automatic starter at the scum anyway seeing as they only play with one central striker these days and already have horsey and shrek.

Don't really think this was worth a thread and you have been quick to criticise others in the past (including myself) over starting threads.  So take your own advice

Man ... you really dont have any appreciation for what Owen did for your beloved club?

Disgusting.

Go and fu.ck off to a chelsea forum, doubt anyone is interested in your point of view

It is LFC that gave Owen his footballing education and made him an international striker, which ultimately got him his move to spain.  And in the end what did he do?  Let his contract run down so that we had to sell him for peanuts to avoid losing him for nothing a year later.  So what is disgusting is what Owen did to the club.  Unlike others, i recognise what LFC did for Owen, which is more than he gave in return, and if people can't see that then they are blind like yourself.  I know loyalty is probably alien to you being a chelski fan and all, but at least try to understand

And seriously, why are you even on this forum?

He left us to go to Madrid and it back fired big time, why on earth would he want to go to Man united Last 16 of the champions league, 3rd best team in england, There all horrible ugly tw@ts, Glazer the fu*kin freak has took over and there is gonna be Murder there next season, He wouldnt achieve anything by going to Man U....But i didnt thing Rooney or Smith would go there so him being in a Man U shirt wouldnt surprise me, it would just sicken me cos he will score goal after goal for them.

90% of threads started these days are just puffs of smoke........absolutely nothing in them and pointless talking about them.

Well :censored: said!

Difference here is that JBG has the respect of everyone on this board. And ppl like him. Take a leaf out of his book, and maybe you would get some better responses.

Losing him made me realise how much we have missed his goals this season.  Particularly in away games where we were often totally outplayed & lacked penetration.  Despite his weaknesses (left foot, heading, poor first touch sometimes) i'd still have him back.  That said, it would make me sick if he went to Manure, It would be bad enough seeing him in the Prem with another club, but Manure, unforgiveble.  Lets hope its just a rumour.

I dont agree that people cant/shouldnt cheer a player they dont like or rate, as he plays for a TEAM, and the TEAM would be leading 1-0 for example.

IT IS Liverpool   1 - 0 Whoever
NOT  Owen(eg;) 1- 0 Whoever

tell you how good he is when he's at his best and how he's past it when he has a baron spell.

I agree with this however, people that do this show there true colours and i cant stand people that do that, jumping on the band wagon when times are good!!

There are few subjects more likely to get the blood boiling than discussing any LFC player's possible transfer to Manchester United ???

IF and it's a big IF Michael owen ends up at Man U then there wil be little sympathy for the player no matter how good he is/was.

Its a fact of footballing life that players these days show anything like as much loyalty to a club as fans do and thats sad in my opinion although perhaps a little naive on my part to expect.

I believed Michael Owen when he promised he would be signing a  new contract in the last 2 years of his reign at LFC but it didn't happen and although it's all gone bit pear shaped for him since leaving,..........However Liverpool Football Club has moved on and it will move on wherever MO plays.MO's credibility as a man of his word has evaporated in my opinion which is probably why all this paper talk of him possibly going to the Scum i provoking such a  response.

Personally I'd love to see him back at Liverpool but accept that it probably isn't going to happen but if he does end up at Man U it's  a hard pill to swallow for ANY Liverpool fan ???

F**k him. If he does sign for the scum, I hope he plays against us, Carra goes right thru him with studs up and breaks his leg the lying s**t.

Read the last two pages of his book, that'll be all you need to know about where Owen's loyalty is - all self and it backfired on him fantastically.

If Owen goes to Manure, he will never be accepted by their fans, and he'll be hated on Merseyside too.
