This is getting to the point where Liverpool are selling players but not replacing players in time for pre-season. We have some games in Japan plus qualifiers soon after, we don't have much time. Even though we are the European Champion, we still don't have the finances to raid the transfer market to replenish stocks. This is giving me the irrates. We are constantly linked with some huge high profile players, but they are all wanting us to put up with some ridiculous salaries. I'd love Raul to come, but if Rafa want to increase his stocks, we must look for more lower priced players if we want to increase numbers. I hear you Rafa, it's frustrating to only have 20-30 million to spend and replenish stocks. I'm looking at you Mr. Chairman.
From the OS:
RAFAEL BENITEZ will step up his attempts to bring Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt to Anfield as he looks to relieve a frustrating summer in the transfer market so far.
The Liverpool manager is finding it difficult to make any headway as he plans an overhaul of his side in time for the new season, with his transfer kitty of around £20million allowing little room for manouervre.
