If we'll make an offer, and they'll match ours I have no doubt Figo's going to pick us. It's not yet time to hang up his boots.
I still don't want him at Anfield because I think he's overrated but he shouldn't pic Saudi Arabia yet.

Sorry to be padantic but Al Rayyan, are not actually from Saudi Arabia, they are a team from Qatar (said Ka-Tar), just to clear that up.
But no forget Figo, he is definetly past it, well for our standards at least!!!

Yeah zara, your right, but I wouldn't get confused in European countries. Middle East is too distant for me to get to know it a bit better.  :Oo:

Well some good news our way if this turns out to be true, please God let it be true :sleepy:

From sky: Lens keen on Diao  :D

"According to reports emanating from the French press, Salif Diao could be heading for Lens.

The Liverpool midfielder has failed to establish himself at Anfield and spent a short time at Birmingham last season - before injury curtailed a loan move.

Birmingham boss Steve Bruce conceded at the close of last season that he was unlikely to pursue a permanent deal and it would appear Diao has little chance of making an impression under Rafa Benitez.

Lens currently have another Liverpool player, Alou Diarra, on-loan and should they concur with his parent club then a permanent arrangement may be made.

However, if they fail to land Diarra then they may turn their attention to Diao - with a fee of around £1.5 million having previously been mooted. "

I think we should get Diarra back it will be one less player we have to buy, plus hes shown some quality this season for lens.

Another Figo article on Teamtalk:

Qatar club Al Rayyan claim to be in a bidding war with Liverpool for Real Madrid's Luis Figo.

Portugal international Figo has spent five years at Real since a £37m move from Barcelona.

The 32-year-old has expressed an interest in playing in the Premiership and Far East side Al Rayyan claim European Champions Liverpool want him.

But Liverpool have not matched Al Rayyan's wages offer according to the Qatar club's president, Ali Al Noaimi, who told the Daily Star: "We want Figo and we know about the offer from Liverpool but we are able to offer much more money."

What an lump of dog sh!t.
Figo is NEVER gonna choose some tea towel heads over a move to European Champions.

Lee J : "Hey Luis, you want to play for some camel jumpers in the middle of nowhere, naff league, no prospects or do you want Champions League footie next season, play along side big star names like Gerrard, Carragher, Alonso, Morientes and be managed by the best manager in the world, Rafa Benitez?"

Figo : "Errr, give ya head a shake lad, I've dusted off me Cilla LP's and am on me way to merseyside as week speak"

Nuff said.
