Is it really too late?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

However, Dr Joseph Mifsud, who has been on the committee since 1994, is a dissenting voice and is unequivocal in his belief the current regulations should be adhered to, which would result in the exclusion of the newly-crowned champions.

Mifsud, who is also the president of the Malta FA, told BBC Radio 5 Live: 'I believe we should follow the rules.
A UEFA executive committee member believes it is too late to change the rules to accommodate holders Liverpool into next season's Champions League.

Dr Joseph Mifsud, who has been on the committee since 1994, is a dissenting voice and is unequivocal in his belief the current regulations should be adhered to, which would result in the exclusion of the newly-crowned champions.

'If the rules permit it it is ok, if the rules do not permit it, no.

'I believe that while the English FA can do something in this regard, I believe as the rules stand at present at UEFA we cannot do anything - unless of course the regulations are changed.

'But I don't agree regulations can be changed midway through the season.

'As far as I can see it is too late.'

Now who the hell is this Dr Joseph Mifsud? Obviously he is not doing any good for the game. And I reckon he should be kick out from the committee. What he has said, showed us how much of passion he has for football.

The bloody CL season haven't even started, what does he mean by "too late" ? Rules are dead but not the ones that govern them. The Champion of Europe cannot defend its title? That is the most ridicules thing i have heard of ! Sometimes these people should just use their brain to think before they say something like this.

I am glad you have confidence Akuma. I was starting to worry that the minority could start ordering the majority around.

Kind of like Chirac trying to tell France what to do.
Mourinho was customizing his flashy blue racing car -- applying the finishing touches of go-faster stripes, aerodynamic spoilers and a fat f@ck you exhaust -- while on his red car, Benitez was trying to glue together a broken chassis, repair bodywork and replace burst tyres.
