Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Thursday nights result was welcome but we were not exactly playing Real Madrid. Gerrard continues to drive Liverpool on but Owen seems to have little motivation. If we advance on in the UEFA great, but it will be covering up what has essentially been a dismal season where our real goal of winning the Premiership has never looked like been realised. I didn't think that 1990 would be the last time Liverpool would be champions and to be honest the way Arsenal are going and the money Chelsea and United have, then it could be years before we even look like being top of the pile - if beating a second rate East European outfit in Europe's equvalent of the Carling Cup is the height of Liverpool's current ambitions then things have got pretty desperate for a club that was once unchallanged in Europe.

yup i guess the standard of liverpool has really slided under the managament of gerard houllier. Liverpool used to be a team feared in europe, but now even the pathetic teams in the premier league are frequently getting draws against us.. :(
the best is yet to come..
