didn't realise at the time as was too caught up in the euphoria, but have seen the photos and wondered what right he had to be there, he will be sold in the summer and has done absolutley nowt for us all season.

Absolutely gutting for those lads, particularly Flo, Mellor and Warnock who made a big contribution.

Massive apologies and @rse kissing from the club are needed.

As much as I agree the club need's to do some serious apologising and ar*e licking, how can you ever componsate for missing out on something like that?

Come on guys. After all, there aint such a need to give Salif such a stick. He has played a crucial role in our CL qualification rounds. Remember he played the home game against AK Graz? Who knows, if he was not playing we might not even be in the group phase.

That's really terrible :(
I can see why they'd be so unhappy, it's unbelieveable this has happened to them.
We should write them as a letter as fans to say sorry, because I imagine it makes them feel unwanted by the club :(

I wonder how the players on the bus felt knowing they were leaving behind teamates that deserved to be alongside them.  I'm really suprised this happened.  I can only imagine how devastating that would be.   Why couldn't they all fly together?

So sad to read this but I think it wasn't their fault when Diao or Josemi and the rest of the so called less contributed players were there. As they are all LFC players, they should get excited and nothing wrong with celebration. We are fans and we are excited also. But to left out those kids without waiting, I would blame the stupid Police for not letting them wait a little longer. Its a parade and the police should know better as they were not trying to run an illegal taxi service or something. REally felt terrible as this is a chance of a lifetime and who would want to miss it. Anyway, lets win it again next  year and get 2 bus waiting just to be safe. :buttrock

That sucks
Mourinho was customizing his flashy blue racing car -- applying the finishing touches of go-faster stripes, aerodynamic spoilers and a fat f@ck you exhaust -- while on his red car, Benitez was trying to glue together a broken chassis, repair bodywork and replace burst tyres.

In work reading this thread and cant believe that has happened to them, whoever made the bus leave before the full squad was on it deserves to be locked in a room for an hour with the players who missed out.
I am with the majority who think its a joke that Diao was even in Istanbul never mind on the pitch.
Nothing can ever really console or make up for the hurt it must of caused the lads.
I dont want to criticise Rafa but to leave Warnock out of the squad for Josemi. :eyebrow SHOCKER !
