Native English players are usually overated on price...we have alraday our core native players(Stevie G and Carra)...I don't think we shoule spend too much for english strikers(We've got Mellor) etc. honestly I'dlike to  see more south americans coming next season...they are brilliant.

Blizzardic do you really think Rafa will bring south americians after houllier and Diouf and Diao.We should be going for Italy and Spanish players they would be great influences to young players like alonso,Nunez and Garcia(Iknow they are already young but gret players)I would like to see Maldini here next season not going to happen though even he is old.

What about the 'homegrown players' rule UEFA were gonna sanction??

would the influx of all these international players bite us in the as$ in the future?

Barca president Joan Laporta told the former River Plate forward that he would be part of the Barca squad if he went out on loan for a season to Monaco, due to the club having too many non-EU players.

But the Catalan club's president has been told by coach Frank Rijkaard that Saviola does not fit into his plans.

The Dutchman wants a 22-man squad for the next campaign and would prefer to trade Saviola and Juan Roman Riquelme as a package if it would help land one of the world's top strikers.

Riquelme has spent two successful seasons on loan at Villarreal, but the Yellow Submarines are unable to sign him permanently due to his wage demands and he is set to return to Camp Nou in June.

If the pair are unable to be offloaded together, then Saviola will be the first to be shown the door with Liverpool, Valencia, Deportivo La Coruna and Atletico Madrid all having registered their interest.

Wishlist:

-Riquelme: immense player, has made hell of an impact at Villareal in almost every game he's played. Good passing ability

-Baptista: a midfielder that has scored dozens of goals, for most parts of the season he's carried Sevilla on his back, solid player

-Hargreaves: Has done the job for Bayern when needed and under Benitez I can see him definetly improving and becoming a key player.

-Joaquin: we need a winger, and Joaquin is the best in Spain. What a signing he would be.

Those are the players that come to mind right now.
