seems a little far fetched to me. The subsequent events that occurred in 78 and 81 like the Pope dieing, Chalres getting married etc are a lot more incredible than that.

Also it's the 6th final. i.e. sixth battle, we have been in. You have to manipulate the quote an awful lot to make anything out of it.
