Just heard on the news that TNS (Welsh League winners) have offered to play us in a one off knock out match later in the year. The winner goes through to the the preliminary stages of the CL.

Think about it... they'll get knocked out early anyway so why not have a money spinning match against the Kings of Europe. Excellent idea by their owner. Now we need the men in grey suits to veto it.

They would also want a percentage of any money we would make from the champions league that year so would be shrewd business on there part

This will never happen.

Uefa are against 5 teams from 1 country qualifying for the group stage and this will still be the case if we do play and beat these welsh boys

If uefa let us play these boys then they might as well just let us in without playing them

It certainly would earn decent money for TNS and may be the "get out" that the FA and UEFA are looking for. The more I think about it the more I think it is a great idea and beneficial to all parties. Play the game at the Milleneum Stadium - what a great idea.
