Don't forget the Rafa did not have much control over tranfers at Valencia, that was one of the things he had a go at them for, he said there were bringing in players he didn't want. So I wouldnt read anything into the fact that Sissoko guy was bought when Rafa was manager there.

I can only really see Rafa going for Vicente, Baraja (if Gerrard leaves), or some less known players.

Ive never even heard of Sissoko

According to a Spanish colleague of mine at work he has been described as the next Patrick Vieira (..................oh no, not another one I hear you say).

Why can't he just be the next Sissoko?

However my colleague also added that whilst he has under performed at Valencia this year, Sissoko's physical game would be more suited to the Premiership.

Let's face it..................playing for Rafa, who wouldn't be amazing?

I've also read tjhat Sissoko scored 50 goals in two seasons with the AJ Auxerre youth team before signing for Valencia in July 2003, aged just 18.

He looked good last season under Rafa where he was getting in the side ahead of Baraja or Aimar in some games, which used to suprise me. However i am not sure of his real position in the midfield because this season has not been one of his best.
