well folks looks the film is gonna be greaaaaat: here's a review and some pics .. keep those appetites wet
"Star Wars III: The revenge of the Sith
This is what we've been waiting for - a new Star Wars film that finally matches the excitement of the original trilogy
Running time: 140 mins; Certificate: 12A; Directed by: George Lucas: Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman, Ian McDiarmid, Samuel L Jackson
What's the story?
The Clone wars are still raging across the galaxy and Chancellor Palpatine has used them to take more control over the senate. The Jedi council is battling to defeat the separatist army lead by Count Dooku and General Grievous while Anakin Skywalker battles with his yearning for power and his allegiance to his mentor Obi-Wan. Things then go really bad.
What we say
Finally the Force is back with us, as George (or Mr Lucas to you) delivers the prequel/sequel we've all been waiting for.
It opens with a bang as Obi-Wan and Anakin rescue Chancellor Palpatine from the villainous General Grievous in a huge space battle, and gets better from there.
George has learned his lesson from episodes I and II and there are no long dull stretches of complicated speeches and intricate plotting: Revenge of the Sith is all action and passion. There's also no Jar-Jar Binks (hurrah), the comic touches coming from the droids fans know and love, R2-D2 and C3-PO.
The action is tightly focused on Anakin's descent into evil and the film is all the better for it. Hayden Christensen is less wooden this time around as the tormented Anakin and able to handle the emotional scenes more convincingly. Ian McDiarmid is also terrific as his temptor, the deliciously evil Chancellor Palpatine.
There's also lots and lots of great light-sabre action, which let's be honest, is what we want. Even Yoda's back in action and the climactic battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan is a fitting finale to a thoroughly exciting sci-fi saga. You can get emotionally involved in this film - the way you could in the original trilogy - and even if you've never seen a Star Wars movie before there is plenty here for you to enjoy.
For a film that has to have a dark ending - Anakin (good) becomes Darth Vader (very bad) - Revenge of the Sith will leave you with a big, broad satisfied smile on your face. See it many times, you will.. "
