Is that something off Star Trek?

It's a feature of a website forum or news-feeder (that requires a software to enable it -available for free in internet) that allows you to receive newcoming messages or updatednews. It works like your email client -e.g. outlook, that feeds you with newcoming mails; yet in this matter, the 'emails' are newcoming messages or news. You don't have to dig out -for example, the latest responses made to your thread.

Newsfeeders like BBC; telegraph sports etc. -as well as such new versions of web-forum templates, have such features

I'm putting a couple of XML RSS feeds on my website from various news sources. They're well good.

There is an option to Track this topic on every topic started on this forum. Every time there is a reply to a topic you subscribe to, it's e-mailed to you.

Not perfect I know but it could be what you are looking for Annie.

I've done some checking and the currentl version of IkonBoard has no RSS add feed facility, I will see if I can find any third party hacks and let you know if I find one.

I've added a hack to the system which should produce an RSS Feed anyone who is interested can try this file:

RSS XML FEED

This should give you something like this:
