Traore was superb last night and i won't forget that performance.

Bottom line though he's not good enough with the ball at his feet.  Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

best game of his career!
but at times i thought he played too "centred", leaving the chelsea's right winger all by himself (whoever it was).

should create special roles for traore and for that matter kewell in the team. traore for bashing cheats and kewell for delaying and denying (he didi very well when "cornered") :D

seriously, traore deserves a squad role, he can nullify attacks with his tackles and headers. forget wing roles for him tho.

kewell? too expensive to keep him for running the ball down the touchline for 10 minutes. sell him.

I agree with most of whats been said about Traore he had a decent game last night (Every player is a true hero) But he does give the ball away too much to be a regular we do need something different but he is an adequate cover player if we had bad injuries...i dont think his wages would be too much or that he would be one to moan if he was mostly a fringe player.

he is good DEFENDER but not good as wingback. no attacking qualities. lose the balls when takes of defender. perfect wingback = finnan. can overlap cross attack defend. workhorse but traore did his fair share GOOD WORK!

I've been broadly a Traore supporter all season and am not about to change tack too much now. He's certainly a better player than Stu would have you believe, but he's probably one of a few in the first-team who will have to be either sold or reduced to a more minor role (my preference for Traore) if we are to seriously progress.
As Stu rightly says, going foward and retention of posession is definately not his strong point and we can't seriously hope to win Premierships or even Champions League ties on a regular basis if we play like last night on a permanent basis. Obviously even the most one-eyed fan would accept that we are going to have to retain posession of the football better than we did last night or indeed we do on a regular basis.
Notwithstanding the fact that often our better players (Garcia and Gerrard particularly) surrender posession much too cheaply, it almost stands to reason that we are goingto have to, over time root out those who are not sufficiently gifted on the ball if we are to become a real top team.
For me, Traore is in the same box as Igor, not good enough for a regular slot but worth having in the squad. He would also cost a nice few quid to replace aswell.

djimi is not a left back, he`s a natural centre half and all you people saying he`s not good enough on the ball, well, get some video`s of jamie carragher playing left back a few years ago.....he looked even worse. djimi showed against tricky opposition that he is hard to get past because of his natural athletism and pace and as a pure man marker he is excellent.
let him develop.
by the way did you see him kissing the badge in front of the kop after the game? i think he`s starting to feel part of the team.that`ll help him.

Yea Djimi had a MASSIVE game, but i feel we should keep him as a squad player for next season and put risse there and get a PROPER winger in (KEWELL!!!! ????). But i have to say that i have been saying for over a season now that i think Djimi has plenty faults, but is, for me, the best slide tackler in prem league, no doubt!
More importantly, when rafa wasnt convinced in pre season he was willing to give 100% to show he wanted it, rather than taking the easy option of going over stanley park.....Bit of loyalty in this day and age goes a long way (Hmmmmmm who cud i possibly have in mind as i write that???!!!!)

Well Done Mr Traore......even if u go you at the end of the season, you will ALWAYS BE REMEBERED!!!! A legend in an antichrist type of way!!!!

How old is he?

Rafa must believe in him to play him all the time.
Those long legs of his are brilliant in the tackle. How many defenders do you know can slide in on the side or from behind and win the ball cleanly in the penalty area? He does, more often than not!! and has saved us in tricky situations.

BUT......he can give the ball away.
