Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Dudek - 7. Great save from fat Frankie, largely untroubled, done what was required.

Finnan - 8. Player of the season? No. Why? Carraghers been great. Another solid and superb defensive performance from Finns, made up for the lad, showing the potential i knew he had.

Traore - 7. I don't wanna give him this, but he deserved it. Was great tonight, 100% commitment, great tackles, played a good game. Well in lad. I'll never forget this!!

Hyypia - 9. Past it? ****** a chicken. Not in a million years. Class!

Carragher - 9. Who said he was mediocre last year? Thanx, but eat ya words.

Luis Garcia - 8. Ran his balls off and scored a goal that didn't even go over the line! about time we had a decision, well in lad, looked creative and clearly keeping the ball better than he was.

Riise - 8. Battled, ran, shown guts and 3 nutmegs. Class lad. ****** class. A proper Liverpool player for years to come.

Biscan - 6. His worst perfomance in europe and of the season but still done ok. Battled hard and tried, played his part even though sloppy in possession.

Hamann - 7. Battled hard, tackled hard, played well and harrassed. Makelele the best defensive mid in Europe? pffffft.

Gerrard - 8. Didn't influence, but done the small things. Kept possession, won tackles, done his bit tonight. All is forgiven Stevie, even if you do go in the summer, tonight means alot, as does last season. :hearts

Baros - 6. Ran his ****** off and played a major part. Made up for the lad, still not what i'd like, never will be, but done his bit tonight.

Subs:

Cisse - 6. Could have scored, was unlucky in one situation and daft in another, will improve next season. Ran his balls off.

Kewell - 6. Worked hard and kept the ball well in the corners, done enough and played a vital part. Well in!!! :D

Up the reds...

The lads who leave in the summer, i'll never forget this now, u'll always have a place in the heart even if you aren't good enough long term. :buttrock  :hearts

good honest summary Stu, when Houllier signed Finnan i was a bit skeptical, but he has been fantastic this season.

the Garcia goal crossed the line, only just, but it did.

Looked a goal to me and if it wasnt then their goalie should have the red
And if it didnt go over then after the rub of green we have had this season we deserved it with a lot of interest

Doesn't matter, should had been a red card for Cech and a penalty for us. Chelsea players didn't protest much either, surpsingly

i dont know about you guys but i had to go through 6 pairs of pants long before the 6 mins of injury time lol

****** amazing, ive been a doubter of carragher i have to admit but tonite he was absolutely fantastic and the whole season he has been, and rafa, ok in the league he hasnt faired as well, but to take our team thats not even settled yet, cause hes got alot of players to still get this team up and running for next season and to take that team to the champions league final is a fantastic acheivement

and to think we were mins from going out in the group stage to olympakios until stevie popped up and here we are, a possible 90 mins away from lifting the champions league trophy, absolutely amazing

Last night was spcial. And it was a team effort. But I must give special praise to Carra and Riise. They had their best games of their career's last night. I think I've never seen a player run and work as much as Riise did last night. He was absolutelty everywhere, and carra has become a fantastic defender. to all of you who said he was a right back, not a central defender. what do you say now?

Carragher was more than a collosus at the back.  I cant quick think of the word to use but he was absolutely outstanding, if he plays like that in the final we will not conceed a goal.
