Good News At Last

Despite the absence of Xabi Alonso for the second leg at Anfield Rafael Benitez has given Liverpool fans some good news by declaring that Dietmar Hamann is back in training and ready to play.
Hamann has been out with a knee injury since the derby win over Everton and was expected to miss both semi-final ties with Chelsea, but the player has shown a great determination to return to training and Benitez says it's a major boost for Liverpool.

Benitez said: "Didi is training normally and I think he will be fit for the second leg. It is good news for us."

my only worry is whether he IS fit or whether we just need somebody to play.

If he's fit, then great. He breaks up the opposition well.

Would be a boost to at least have him on the bench for the chelsea game.

Give him a run out against boro if he's fit enough

Didi doesn't have to be fit, he barely breaks into a trot!  Top player all the same and undervalued.
I'd play him regardless of whether he can make the Boro game.  He can play 70 minutes I'm sure, he wasn't out for that long.

If he's fit he has come back just at the right time with alonso being banned for the chelsea game.
