Fernando, Djibril, Milan, Florent, or Neil, who is the best?
Fernando Morientes - Shown his class at Monaco last season and Real Madrid most of his career. Has shown glimpses since joining the 'pool. I'm not sure he has the pace or can cope with the physical side of the Premiership though, but I will give him time.
Djibril Cisse - Hasn't yet lived up to his £14million price tag but have seen glimpses. I feel since recovering from his injury he has looked better, and looks more willing in closing down defenders. His pace is there for sure and he knows where the goal is, he plays with confidence at the moment which is very good for a player who has had such a horrific injury.
Milan Baros - Isn't what Liverpool FC are looking for. Runs his heart out for the cause but hasn't got the finishing touch, he started well and seemed on a high after his Euro 2004 performance, that has slowly dropped. He now has forgot how to find the back of the net, and his work rate has dropped. He wasn't playing against Chelsea was he?, other than the header.
Florent Sinama Pongolle - Young and pacey. I don't think he is the finished article because he doesn't find the net on a regular basis, a good sub player, but no-more, he can come on and change gaes ie. Olimpiakos.
Neil Mellor - Shown glimpses and looks like a talent, but maybe not good enough for the famous red shirt. Scored a few when he came into the squad due to injuries, has strength and can finish well, but I don't think he will terrorise defenders.
