yeah, definately the most gifted player to put on a pair of boots, better with a golf ball than zidane is with a football he was also a cheating so and so, but then again so are most of the players these days so you cant really hold that against him. that argentina side wasnt the greatest either but he certainly was. people forget he played in an era where defenders kicked lumps out of forwards and often that was the only way to stop him, if he played these days with these overprotective refs he would be even better.
in terms of pure mastery of the ball and control even legends like kenny and george best dont even come close - maradona was truly blessed.

1966, I was in south africa at the time and they didn't even have TV there  :(

Listend to the game on the radio . Wonderd what the fk was going on when I heard the (now) immortal words  "There's some people on the pitch, they think it's all over ......it is now ! "  :)

First clear memory, 1994, Klinsmann's goal against Etcheverry's Bolivia.
Worst ****** memories, same year, over the bar from Roby Baggio and 2002 FAKED GAME against Korea
Best memory, Kostadinov's goal against France in the 1994 qualifier and Gianluca Pagliuca kissing the post in the final against Brazil the same year
