Exactly, and he is not coming back.

No point talking about him anymore.

Too bad Owen is gone, move on with life. We aren't a one man club, it takes 11 to win and 11 to lose not one.

Some good points on this we miss Owen badly...but he did jump ship, it was obvious to anyone for about 18 months he didnt look happy and he wanted to leave.
He is starting games more regulary for Real Madrid now and i cant see him coming back for at least another season.
We do need to look elsewhere for a striker as it looks obvious that Rafa will get rid of Baros.
The Forssell suggestion is a good one...he wouldnt cost much and would love to join Liverpool...he is a player that will score goals anywhere. He might only have had one proven season in the Premiership but he scored goals on loan in the Bundesliga as well.
Yakubu would provide something a bit different but i wouldnt be happy paying 8 million for him.
I've always liked Robbie Keane, but not sure if he would be a 20 a season player although his record for Ireland suggests he could prove me wrong.

How wrong was I about Baros, to all those who called me clueless on the issue... I'm sorry, you were right... :D

In absolute fairness Stu Baros has been injured, is playing in a p!ss poor team and has still scored more than Morientes and probably our other strikers aswell. Those who thought he was a world-beater were wrong, he's not rubbish eithert tho'. Put it this way, if he were still at the club I reckon he'd be playing against wigan.
We sold him at the right time for the right money but you must've called something wrong at some time in the dim and distant past Stu so post up one of those in the interests of balance. We've all said daft daft things on here, (well everbody except me anyway :D )
