He'd certainly be one of the best!

He is lethal.  Im delighted hes back, makes u think what we were missing while he was out.  His ability to spread the play and bring others into the game is unreal.

Him n SG will be THE best midfield partnership next season.

At the game on saturday and not only is he the best passer i have ever seen but hes the most gifted player i have seen, what were sociadad thinking sellin him for 10 million hes worth 50 at least......there was a moment were he give a ball away and he wouldnt stop apoigising to who it was meant to go to.......we just need some good wingers to be latching on to these balls, nunez just cant cross to save his life. the best ive heard about him is he plays like a quarter back in american football he just recieves the ball off the player next to him looks up and launches a 150 yard pass on to risses big toe!
Chopper:Look, you're not still angry at me about the leg, are you?
Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

Love the avatar the best i've seen in a while.
I totally agree with what most have said on this thread. I watched the match in one of the local pubs and his range of passing was the best i've witnessed that i can remember.
I dont want to hype him up cos that puts pressure on him...but to come out with 2 displays like that in a week after bein out for months was unbelievable.
Nunez must have been picked out with 40 yard passes about 5 or 6 times in acres of space on the right touchline and wasted posession. What someone with a bit more brains would of done with them chances excites me, we will stretch any team with better wide players.

Watched the game with Spurs. Absolutely agree with the rest. Alonso is the superbest. Good command passing. With improve team understanding, definitely we'll be challenging the title next season.

There have been comments made in the past/this season about building a team around Gerrard.  I personally think that the team should be built around Alonso as he is the one who makes us tick and sets the pace of the game.  Absolutely terrific player.
