It depends on what you mean by "couldn't do it again"

If you meant that he could not deliver the kick as he intended, you are right. Heck, he couldn't do it if he had another 100 attempts!

If you meant that he could not sky it out of touch, I disagree because with each attempt, Buffon would sky it even higher and further away from his intended aim...
