Trezeguet is ruled out for Juve
12 April 2005
Juventus striker David Trezeguet has been ruled out of tomorrow's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Liverpool in Turin.

The French international, who hurt his ankle after appearing as a second-half substitute in last week's first leg at Anfield, attempted to train today but was unable to complete the work-out.

"He hasn't been included in the squad," Juve coach Fabio Capello said. "He failed to finish training due to the ankle injury.

"I am not a doctor, I am a coach, and therefore I have to respect the doctor's decision."

Trezeguet's absence means Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play alongside Alessandro del Piero in attack as Juve attempt to overturn a 2-1 deficit.

Midfielder Emerson, who had been an injury doubt, is fit again after sitting out Saturday night's 3-3 draw at Fiorentina and is included in the squad.

Good news but I think we will have to watch Del Piero

ibrahimovic looks pretty dangerous to me. del piero only turns it on now and again, he's nowhere near the player he was 3 or 4 seasons ago.

the shot ibrahimovic had against us at anfield that hit the post shows he only needs a quarter yard and a split second to be dangerous. and he's a big f*cker too...

Ibrahimovic is without doubt their danger man as far as I'm concerned, but comes across as a bit of a big pansy sometimes. A few thundering tackles early on in the game might quieten him down a bit

No no, he likes that.
He's more like a warrior-kind player.
But he's got fine feet......  :D  :D
Please don't hurt them!  :p  :D

He has indeed got fine feet, especially for a big fella. What's his temperament bewen like since he joined Juve? All the rumours suggested he was a bit of a nutter at Ajax

He definitely is.
