Rafa going to Portugal to sit down and talk with Steven and Michael about staying with the club, imagine when he went over there they basically didnt know him from adam, his english wasnt so good hes begging 2 players to stay at the club before us even playing a game of football under him, you got to admire him.

Bringing players of quality to liverpool morientes, Xabi Alonso wouldnt even go to Real or Manure, but he came to us because of Rafa, our little gem Luis Garcia idolises barca Rafa begged him to come to Liverpool we even payed the buy out clause, hes been a fantastic addition to our team something we have been missing for a long long time.

Whats very exciting to see is goals coming from our midfield and a cracker from sammi on tuesday, even Traore and Finnans scored this season, and things will only get better exciting times ahead I cant wait.

Weve given Traore and Igor some sh.it in the past if we seen them coming on as subs or starting a game we would fear the worst and think oh nooooooooooo where gona get beat. Ok  traores no Ashley Cole but at the same time hes put some fantastic tackles in to save our @rses at some point this season, you have to give him credit hes come on leaps and bounds this season and Im sure the likes of Gerrard, riise sammi and Carra can see hes twice the player this season as hes ever been, whether youll be here or not next season I dont know but thanx alot.

You have to feel a bit sorry for Igor though cause it was Houlliers fault for playing him out of position, and in hindsight the lads confidence must have been zilch he must have hated being at our club. What a turn around hey :D  I dont know if he will go or not but thanx for this season igor youve helped us alot knowing your 4th in the pecking order.

I can see most of the loan players being gone permanently come the end of the season and surplus requirements e.g. Smicer, Mellor, Diouf, Cheyrou, kewell and no doubt some reserves will be gone off the wage bill.

And I think we will see about 5 new faces maybe 3 top class signings, if we want to be competing with the best rafa needs to be given substancial transfer funds, qualifying for the Champions League next season is a must just look how happy we are, imagine how happy the players are and the confidence they must have now beating one of the best teams in europe, they cannot want to miss out on this experience next season, you dont get many chances like this in a short football career, they must be over the moon.

Now next wednesday can they live up to the expectation and Knocking juve out?  i for one certainly hope so but i dont know if it will be a game to far, they will have to play out there skins, they will have to put every single bit of passion determination and pride into pulling this one off.
I really hope we can do it, they wont have our fans help next wednesday and its going to be probably one of the most hostile grounds they will ever step foot on.
can they do it without the fields of annie road, and Ra ra rafa benitez belting out from the fans, cause all its going to be is flairs, bang, boom, booooooooooooos, a small minority of Liverpool fans which wont be heard, in the mayhem of the Del Alpi.

Come on lads do us proud get us to the semis your only 90 minutes from the semis you can do it, keep the momentum lets go to city on saturday and get a result i dont care 1-0, overtake the BS cause once there off that 4th perch they wont get it back.

We have the pedigree and quality for europe its the history of our famous club, people critise us saying we live on past glories well f@ck me past glories feel bloody good, and we want more, how can you not want more of the famous european anfield nights? they are amazing nobody and I mean no body does it better, our fans are a credit to our club they where amazing on tuesday, and have been on many occasions in the past, I am so proud of them all.

Stamford bridge last night not a patch on anfield,  ok they have better players and more money than soft joe, but it proves money cant buy you love, and I love liverpool with all my heart, Theres not many teams in the world that have the opportunity to experience what is such a special atmosphere like we have at ours, and I would envy that if I was a supporter of onother club, but we have had alot of praise from the gooners, the geordies most clubs in europe TBH have praised us for tuesday night.

I was lying awake last night worried about our fans next wednesday and probably wont sleep much all week, till its over with roll on thursday hey when we will either be absolutly made up, and over the moon or on a big fat downer, lets hope we hold this momentum for the future of things to come, great times ahead with a fantastic manager, fantastic players, and the best club in the world.

CMON U MIGHTY REDS OF EUROPE WE CAN DO IT AGAIN.

Top quality post.

We don't play Juventus until next week and I already have goose bumps, I simply can not stop thinking about the game. In these rescent few weeks our squad seems to be more confident as a whole and as individuals, we have started to find some luck as well (recovery of Alonso,Cisse).

Benitez has done a trenmendous job in his first season, especially when more than half of the time the squad picked it self due to injuries and Benitez has not had the luxury of choosing however he has done his best in every game selecting the starting 11.

Many players have improved under him. Finnan,Carragher,Traore,Biscan,Riise just to name a few, and while they may not be World-Class footballers they certainly are important to this club. Finnan and Carragher have been the two most consistant defenders for us this season, just shows how much of an impact Benitez has made.

I just have a feeling that Rafa is the manager that will lead us to glory for many years. Every disapointing year we would say that the next season would be better, however this time one can trully feel that in fact it will be better with a manager like Rafa.

Many have said that David Moyes should be the manager of the year because of what he has done with Everton and Benitez is not recieving the credit he should. While David Moyes has been at Everton for three years already, Benitez has only just arrived and has already made a tremendeous impact.

Benitez > Moyes.

If anybody here could name a manager other than Benitez that could had taken us this far in the Champions League with not many options and a load of injuries then please state his name.

Exciting times, plenty to look forward too. No more "I think we've turned a corner", the Boss has been honest through out the season  and thats one of the things that make him a good manager.

Wouldn't a PM to St Michael highlighting this point have been sent Iceman ?

Or is it your intention to name and shame him publicly when he may not have been aware of this unsavoury episiode in Tweedy's past   :Oo:

Well then the rafalution lived up to its first season alrite, 2 finals in his first year, even with his fantastic team at Valencia he didnt pull the big one off, WHY? Ill tell you why cause Valencia didnt have a number twelve shirt, the number 12 being the fans ours fans the best in the whole world.

What a fanastic climax to the end of the season, I think its only just sank in the last few days, what an amazing time, what a fantastic achievement from our lads.

At half time when the players went in the changing room Traore was subbed and on his way to the showers, when he heard the Milan players singing and seen them in Champions league winners tops, at that moment finnan told rafa he could'nt play on he was injured.
They called traore back and he must have been telling the lads what he had just witnessed, thats when the fans put their heads up raised their scarfs and raised there voices and all sang You'll Never Walk Alone

And Rafa said you cannot make your heads drop, how can you call yourself a Liverpool player with your head down, how can you let them fans down.
And it worked the we seen a very different liverpool side that came out the second half, not the one seen in the first half overawed by the occasion, cause they where you cant blame them it was all of there first CL final.

But if it wasnt for Rafa even though he made ONE big mistake starting Kewell and not Hamann, but Ive had this convo with me mum and she said yer but, if we would have started with hamann this game could have been very very defensive and maybe Milan would have won 1-0, or then again maybe it would'nt have been so great to actually come back from being 3-0 down, but one thing my mum said to me after the game when everyone was hugging and kissing and celebrating she whisperd to me, ( you see girl this is the difference between winning and losing) might not sound much for you to read, but believe me them words meant something special thanx mum I luv yer :D If we had lost that night well f@ck me, how would we all have felt, ffs I was bad enough when maldini scored that first goal.

Anyway back to the Rafalution, next season I am hoping to see a very very hungry team cause we have a very hungry manager we need the players to have this winning mentality what rafa always goes on about and when he said if you cant change that mentality you change the player.

this man knows what hes talking about I love him to bits hes brought much joy to us fans this past few weeks, joy we have missed for so so long, I cant wait for next season and TBH even though I want to see us in the Champions league again, I would much prefer us to be challenging the top 3, this is where we need to be, he knows it we know it, we just need the right players to want it.

Next season I dont know what it will bring but hopefully we will be adding to our trophey cabinet, Long live the Rafalution cause he didnt come here to learn english.

Nice post again Cigs   I think Rafa has obviously surprised himself by landing the big one, but beneath the calm exterior he knows EXACTLY where he wants to take this club, and PRECISELY how he's gonna do it. Sure, he's not finalised his side, in fact our team sheet for next season will look a whole lot different to what it does now, but he clearly has a vision of how he wants to shape our future, much like Shanks did all those years ago. He has the mentality he preaches about himself in spades. But by his own admission what he never expected was the power of the Anfield atmosphere and the effect that it can have on our players, never mind the opposition players.

This really is such a fantastic time to be a Liverpool fan. It's not often you get that overwhelming feeling that you're at the start of a huge thing, a wave of change and success - that's where we are now. We've been off the top for 15 years but we really are starting our journey back to the top.

The future's bright, the future's RED, and I F*CKIN LOVE IT
