Biscan looked out of his depth today, we need Alonso back, so hopefully he'll be in for the second leg.....also, who were the ****** cheering during the min silence??" :glare:

they have got to come at us and score and if rafa employs the same tactics in the second leg as he did against leverkusen ,the italians will be expecting us to sit back its their mentality ,we've got to go at them the way we did with the germans they won't be able to cope ,i know its a gamble but im sure it will pay off again ,nobody outside of us expected us to be in this position so we must capitalise on it and go for it . COME ON RED MEN.

I think no team has put 2 goals past Juve n the CL all season and we did that today. Remember when Bayern Laverkusen scored their away goal, some here though it could be our downfall but we showed again that we can bring our A game to any team in Europe. Good performance overall. Players looked tired midway through the 2nd half and Juve's extra week off and quality makes the difference.

Let's go to Turin and turn it on again...well done lads! Now I'll save a cheer or two for Bayern tomorrow... :D

yup, watched it on the tv and proud of the performance we just ran out of gas in the second half.
we`re still in the tie and they`ve got to be wary of us getting one at their place so i think they`ll be nervous at the back.
we needed an alonso type player to knit the passing together because we became ragged just before their goal, but the substitutions seemed to steady the ship a bit.
i`m made up with a home win against fulham or birmingham never mind juventus.
we`ve shown europe were back as a force.

What a shame for Scott Carson, apart from that mistake he looked really good tonight.

Good result, the defence was outstanding.

I think it was the Juve fans applauding the mosaic.

7_Kewell, that is Italian tradition to clap during a minutes slience as a sign of respect, the applauding was for the Amizica mosaic on the Kop also.

so b4 you spout off and call them names, try and understand other people's cultures.

it wasn't the applause...there was singing and whistling....half of Anfield booed after the min silence because some people were being stupid...

I think Juve fans began to applaud for the mosaic and then sang Juve songs, after all it was their fans who died, i saw no problem with it.

ok, i did actually some sort of disgust with some Juve fans, and wasn't aware of that ofr th time, soundinf like Juve fans singing to me, perhaps it was and then their was a misunderstanding from some Liverpool fans who thought they should sing themselves, innocent mistake I'm sure, well I hope so anyway.

Managed somwhow to watch the game....
Excellent first 30 minutes by LFC, shameful by Juve.

The Juve started playing, hit the post, scored a regular goal with Del Piero, scored another one and looked good even though ran out of gas the last 15 minutes.

LFC shouldn't feel comfortable with a 2-1 home win but neither should we. We still have to win and possibly avoid to concede any goal.

Great match though.

i definatley think we can get at their defence at their place, but we cant let possession go so cheaply as we did early in the second half, thats why i`d play xavi the weekend away at city and in turin.
biscan, troare and riise all tried their hearts out but it looked like they were wearing lead boots the last half an hour, and thats because when we had the ball we didnt make them chase us for a while, giving us a breather.
when we play with a high tempo we look unbeatable but we cant seem to last the distance, we`ve got to learn how to pace ourselves - when rafa cracks that problem - the skies the limit.
