This season he's getting better and I think we should give him a contract , maybe 2 years more.

Icemen69, I thought Igor has always been a midfielder and Houllier signed him for his midfielder abilities. How can he be called a makeshift midfielder?

Early on at Liverpool, he was so awful that he seems like a makeshift player no matter where he plays. He has been improving and unless he can outdo Hamann at the holding role in midfield consistently, he is not good enough. So far for me, the jury is still out on this guy.

igor as played ok in a few games this season,but even on saturday he did little,except being in the right place at the right time.if liverpool want to make genuine progress we have to stop persevering with third rate players,and start buying proven class performers.

I think its time for Igor to leave. He is not up to the standard we need to have and it would be much better for him to go somewhere else and get regular first team football which he will never get at Liverpool

Yeah but if you did ever bring in more world class players keeping them playing and content is hard to do especially with the midfielders we have.

Now i aint saying that they are all fantastic but players like Biscan i think are happy enough to be squad players..

I would like to see them sign another world class right midfielder though.

Is it not the case that Igor decided he wants to leave anyway and is not looking for a new Liverpool contract?

I'm a bit baffled about the whole "Igor is a legend" lark and I agree with Daglish that 3 or 4 good games this season doesn't make up for 4 previous years of absolute rubbish.

It makes no difference to me biscan should still go we cant keep hanging on to below average players forever?..its a case of thanks igor..but no thanks!..bye

i'd be surprised if igor is still here next season. believe me there is going to be a MAJOR OVERHAUL here in the summer.

infact judging by what i've been hearing, this summer is going to be the busiest ever in the premiership transfer market, especially outside the top 3, in a bid to move to the next level. even the likes of charlton and villa have supposedly got 20m to spend apparently.

I agree, lets hope Igor can make himself remembered by his last few decent performances rather than the 3-4 years of rubbish he gave us.

why sell him?
hes good cover and can be a class player. beni himself said all he needs is a confidence boost.

selling hi (or giving hi away on a free) just doesnt make sense
