My line up will be;

                     Dudek

Finnan     Hyppia     Pelle       Carra

Nunez     Biscan      Smicer     Riise

                     Gerrard

                      Garcia

Unavailable Players

Morientes ( Said he may be available, but it's unlikely)
Cisse
Baros
Mellor
Pongolle
Kewell
Alonso
Hamann
Josemi
Kirkland

Baring in mind the above, my team would be:

                   Dudek

Finnan Pellegrino Carragher Troare

Garcia   Welsh   Biscan   Riise

           Gerrard
                      Le Tallec

SUBS

Smicer
Nunez
Potter
Hyypia
Carson

Really that team or this one are the two most realistic line ups:

                   Dudek

Finnan Pellegrino Carragher Troare

Nunez   Gerrard   Biscan   Riise

            Garcia
                      Le Tallec

SUBS

Smicer
Welsh
Potter
Hyypia
Carson

I prefer the first line up because Gerrard and Biscan tend not to work well together, Welsh can be the ball winner in central midfield and Biscan can get forward to support the attack.

Have we sold Stevie Warnock then have we ??

From my point of view it would be a big mistake to play Gerrard as a "defencive striker". Considering the current injury situation, we seem dependant on a good performance by the remaining key players (such as Gerrard), and I fear that when playing him as a "defencive striker" we risk that he practically won`t be involved in the game at all. He would be brilliant in this role if he was fed with the proper passes from the mid, but I fear that a midfield duo of i.e. Biscan and Welsh simply hasn`t got the passing skills needed to keep Gerrard involved in the game.

If my prediction turns out to be correct (it`s a first time for everything), Gerrard would be forced into a more defencive role in order to get possession of the ball, which would make us loose formation, not only making our midfield crowded but we would also be left with only one striker. The 1 striker deal hasn`t exactly been a recepy for success so far this season, and if Baros or Morientes can`t pull this off I can hardly see why leTallec or Smicer should do it any better  ???

I prefer not to have Smicer in any lineup as he is really sh*t. At least Welsh has more up side. With him and Biscan in the middle might work. In a big game like this, Garcia should be up front. Le tellec can be on the bench.

With Morientes likely to miss out i'd like to see Le Tellec get the opportunity to play up top tomorrow. The lad has a bit more physical presence than the likes of Smicer & Garcia and has been playing up front with some success for ther reserves since he came back from frogland. That would leave Stevie or Garcia to play off him.

I would also like to see Welsh given an opportunity but think the gaffer is more likely to turn to Potter (who has featured in more Rafa teams) if he decides to use any of the youth players.

Its gonna be an ugly game but i fancy us to scrape through 1-0. Also i'm assuming Diouff is unavailable for Bolton? Can anyone confirm?

We need to rest the players so they can play with maximum potential against Juventus in the CL Quarter Final first leg clash. If everything does go wrong, we have backups ready on the bench.
Players allowed to rest:
Hyypia
Carragher
Finnan
Dudek

if we lose tomorrow then the victory over everton will have proved completely meaningless. howevr go out with the same determination and application and we'll win the game without any problems. bolton won't make the game pretty. they're main threat will be from set pieces, long throws etc.
