Vs bolton - Team

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

What with the internationals out of the way, I thought it was the right time to start a thread on the Bolton game.

Unavailable Players

Morientes ( Said he may be available, but it's unlikely)
Cisse
Baros
Mellor
Pongolle
Kewell
Alonso
Hamann
Warnock
Josemi
Kirkland

Baring in mind the above, my team would be:

                   Dudek

Finnan Pellegrino Carragher Troare

Garcia   Welsh   Biscan   Riise

           Gerrard
                      Le Tallec

SUBS

Smicer
Nunez
Potter
Hyypia
Carson

Really that team or this one are the two most realistic line ups:

                   Dudek

Finnan Pellegrino Carragher Troare

Nunez   Gerrard   Biscan   Riise

            Garcia
                      Le Tallec

SUBS

Smicer
Welsh
Potter
Hyypia
Carson

I prefer the first line up because Gerrard and Biscan tend not to work well together, Welsh can be the ball winner in central midfield and Biscan can get forward to support the attack.

How's this for a strike force and midfiled:

Cisse  Alonso  Hamann  Kewell

       Morientes  Baros

games are usually won and lost in midfield and a welsh - biscan partnership is maybe a little untried for such a big game.
though on the flip side i think it will be a physical match and the pair of them are quite strong physically so..........
its a tough one, after pulling a big result out of the hat in the derby we would be back to square one if we dont beat bolton and everton beat west brom.

Why isnt gerrard in that list.
:(  wheres me hanky.
I am very very worried about this game, cause I dont think we have won a game after an international, Bolton just defend with 9 men :sleepy:, and are another boot ya off the park team, no more injuries please.
And also our consistency again will it let us down? ???  and then on a brighter note come sunday up until 6 we could only be 1 point behind the BS  , Cmon you baggies :D

you dont want gerrard to be on that list cisse, i think he was pointing out a midfield and attack from players who are out injured at the moment.  :)

Yeah it has gone a bit off topic.

Bolton seem to be able to ruffle our feathers a bit. We seem to strugle against the more physical and hardworking teams. We want too much time on the ball and don't stand strong enough to withstand the tackles.

I think with Welsh and Biscan in central midfield and Gerrard helping out, we could compete better in the middle of the park.
