Agree that he is a potential answer, I have also brought up the idea of Simon Davies a few times but people don't seem to rate him, what do you think?

malbranque is a more consistent all-round performer i think. davies isn't bad but hasn't exactly set the world on fire. it just shows you that there are a lack of genuine quality out-and-out wide men these days.

malbranque is good player, in a better team he could turn into a very good player.

But is it a case of good player in a poor team? Would he manage to maintain or up his performances on a bigger stage? Has he got into the French team yet?

Saha has just been called up to the French team for his 1dt cap. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the club he now plays for. I guess the same would probably happen with Malbranque should he move to a bigger club. He would be a good buy i think. Again though, he is another player who might be handcuffed by Houlliers tactics/inability to coach a team that plays slick football.

I think the Saha call up probably has as much to do with his form this season as his move to manu. If he plays ***** and gets picked then the fashionable club argument can stand. I wonder why Anelka wasn't picked though, he surely merits inclusion even if he is somewhat temperamental

guys, this guys surely a good buy but trust me ala GH still ard he will be turned to a below mediocre player just like most of the red players now.....look at Rise, a clear example. Kewell is on the way also...Simple conclusion: no player can improve under GH

Isn't Kewell playing on an injured ankle?  Steven Gerrard looks to me like he has made some improvements.
