Reserves - Why aren't they given a chance?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

it makes you wonder if gerard houllier really believes in our most promising reserve players when he continues to loan them out on a regular basis without even giving them a sniff of 1st team football and playing wasters like biscan, diso etc.

otsemobor- played a spell of games at right-back. good going forward, plenty of pace. loaned out to BOLTON.

partridge- great crosser of the ball. loaned to coventry.

warnock was also loaned out. can't remember where

at this rate john welsh will be next and i'm sure clubs will be queueing up for him. I know it aids their development and gives them first-team football but i would like to see some of them given a chance in the first team, even if it means coming off the bench.

Otsemobor - I think some first team experience will benefit him, he ## spotential, but still a lot to learn.

Partridge - His chance has gone, I had hoped he would have got a chance some time back.

Warnock - Never got a look in, I think he is now at Coventry on a permant basis.

Houllier is shipping in so much French cr@p that he's bound to prefer his judgement on signings over young English players (and Partridge). Thompson didn't get a chance either and he has done pretty well at Blackburn and could have done better than Diouf or any of our other options. Houllier maintained he would build the side around English youth and to some degree he has, but still too many of the side are underperforming foreigners
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
