Very sorry I know rafa is a complete and utter gent but I would have to bring this tackle infront of a panel to the F.A. and ask why he didnt get sent off for this.

I know we dont like moanin managers but come on raffa ffs, he nearly broke the lads leg in half.  I think he should go to the F.A. with this otherwise players will think its ok to tackle like this, and think they wont even get booked or sent off.
Double standards if you ask me Milans wasnt half as bad as this one

Milan's challenge was a shocker, there's no doubt about that, and the red card was fully justified. I don't think it was malicious, but it was late and dangerous, I wasn't surprised when I saw the red card come out of the ref's pocket. Andy Gray made a point on the commentary about it being a stupid forwards' tackle.

But

When you compare it to Hibbert's on Garcia, there is no difference, if anything the Everton defender's was more of a lunge than Milan's - and this guy is a defender. He's supposed to know how to tackle. To be honest I assumed he'd been booked and didn't think anything of it until he got a yellow in the second half and it wasn't followed by a red.

Rafa has not come out and said that Milan's card was wrong, but what he has done is called into question the referee's other decisions from earlier in the match. I for one cannot see how one challenge goes unpunished (in the disciplinary sense) yet the other has the ref reaching into his pocket without hesitation.

Everton are clutching at straws to try and find some spurious comfort from a game in which they were COMPREHENSIVELY outplayed, outfought and out-thought by a vastly superior Liverpool side

In their desparation to find positives to take from such a humiliation at the hands of their greatest enemy they conveniently overlook the fact that they made NO attempt to play football and EVERY attempt to kick, shirt-pull, intimidate, cheat and scrap their way to some kind of result

They failed. Miserably.

And in the process showed the rest of the premiership their true colours

Blue noses want him to play for England I ****** dont, hed never get a call up off Sven or any other england manager who wants to watch him play no style, no class, cant defend and cant tackle either:angry: Only good thing if he did get a call up that carra ****** buts him everywhere, horrible little ******.

international March

By Mark Lawrenson, Daily Post

I WAS interested to see that Tony Hibbert's teammates were talking up his chances of an England call-up this week.

I like Hibbert as a player and agree that he has improved this season, but I also think he still has some way to go to be good enough for international football.

As a player, he is what I call a proper defender in the same mould as Jamie Carragher. Hibbert has got pace, he has good recovery and he loves a tackle. He is also not concerned who is against him. At Old Trafford earlier this season he took on Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same game and did equally well against both.

In international football however, a fullback sees a lot of the ball because defences see them as a get-out pass.

With that in mind, I think Hibbert could stand to build on his passing skills going forward in order to really be able to make his mark for England.

Just look at Ashley Cole. He is solid in defence, but he also carries a threat as an over-lapping full-back. That is the sort of level Hibbert has to try and attain.

I do not think it is beyond him though. Given time and the sort of application he has shown in his career to date, there's no reason why he cannot make it.

As far as the more immediate future is concerned, Hibbert will be playing a key role for Everton in the derby match.

As an onlooker, I'd much rather be in Everton's position than Liverpool's going into the match, as they have the points on the board.

David Moyes could treat the match a bit like a European game because if Everton don't lose, it will be almost as good as a win.

Which makes me wonder how they can be possibly be serious about playing in the Champions League.

Hibbert's tackle was just as bad as Milan's, probably even worst and he should had definetly gotten a straight red for that challenge. The way Garcia's ankle reminds me of Cisse's break, how Garcia played the entire match afterwards I do not know [turns out he will play for Spain as well, great recovery hope he doesn't pick up a knock while playing for Spain]

Everton are looking through their book of execuses and unfourtanetly for them none of the execuses are working.

Baros had to go and no one is excusing his tackle and the resultant first sending off of his career but Hibbert's is a shocker too and Stubb's conveniently forgets this when rising like an Angel with Wings who hasn't ever ever ever "Done" a player .....Yeah right One Ball ! ???
