How f#cked up is this? We have a whole team of injured players. I prefer an attacking 4-3-3 formation, and have even thrown in a benchful of subs (i.e. doubtful/suspended):

                                  Kirkland
                                   (back)

             Josemi             Traore               Warnock
             (Knee)             (Thigh)              (Ankle)

  Pongolle           Alonso             Hamann            Kewell
  (Knee)            (Ankle)             (Knee)        (Groin/Achilles)

              Cisse               Mellor             Morientes
              (Leg)              (Knees)            (Thigh)

Subs: Garcia (Ankle), Hyypia (Flu), Baros (Suspended), Diouf (Suspended [if we were to recall him]), Diao (Injured [again if we recalled him])

Bloody hell! That's a whole squad of 1st team players unavailable. Every one of those players have started a premiership game this season! You could also add Ritchie Partridge to that list, although he's only figure in the Carling Cup.

I'd say Smicer and Le Tallec up front...but who goes on the left? Will Garcia be ready?

we r playing bolton and they like to crowd the midfield so i dont think its necessary to employ 2 strikers but then having say smicer and le tallec would benefit both of them as they could help each other but if 1 was employed on his own then it wud in effect be disastrous,

I would play La Tallec up front with Gerrard supporting from an advanced midfield role. Don't think smicer would give us anything up front
