Looks like Liverpool's Champions League ambitions took another knock following a frustrating cum boring 0-0 outing against Blackburn Rovers.
All top teams create plenty of goal scoring chances; it does not matter whether you put the ball behind the net, because that is another story. But the issue is about creating goal scoring chances and Liverpool barely created a chance against BR and if they play like this against Everton, I got a feeling Everton fans can start booking their European trips for next season.
How a side can look so good in reaching the Champions League quarter finals and yet play so disappointingly? Where is the consistency? This is a question which will give RB many sleepless nights.
And again, Jerzy Dudek had one of his MANY lapses in concentration with a half hit clearance that went as far as Reid, whom tried to lop the embarrass Dudek.
I do not blame the manager's tactic. It is all down to individual player. I cannot accept this kind of performance. In fact, Liverpool may well count themselves lucky to escape with a solitary point, when Reid lashed a 20m free-kick which almost went in.
Now they face a more daunting task. But I am betting them to win Everton because Liverpool always look like a much better side when playing against top teams. Everton might not be consider a 'top team' but they are certainly on top of us right now.
