Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Just wandered what you think about stevie g being the next england captain. In my opinion he's a natural born leader who would do a fantastic job for his country. What do you think?

It should be a centre-back. I think the star players should not be burdened with the captaincy, they should concentrate on their game.

problem is we don't exactly have a new tony adams at the momoent. We haven't really got any centre-backs who are what i would consider "talkers" on the pitch.

Maybe give it to John Terry, can't do any harm

I think you have two types of players, those who are burderned by captanciy and those who relish it, and I think Gerrard is the latter.

yeah possibly. he's there for the future. Be interesting to see who starts against france. Sol will play and it's either terry or woodgate, who i both rate. Upson hasn't got the pace. And what jamie carragher has to do to even get in a squad i'll never know.

I hear Woodgate is doubtful (as is Bellamy for Wales) Could be a manu trick to get Newcastle players off international duty ???
