Are you sure it does not mean I simply mean to confirm he is English ?

He wasn't using it in a derogatory way.
He simply stated he was a t****** and an aussie. Get over it and jib all this politically correct ******.
Not all aussie's are ******, not all black people are ******, but you do get black ****** (people who are black and a ****** and you do get aussie ******, people who are ****** and are aussies), much the same as you english ******, cockney ****** and woolyback ******.

No.... it's derogatory towards the English. If I walk into a packed English pub next weekend in Manchester find an Englishman and starting screaming 'You English f**k!. I f**king hate you! - you dirty English c*nt!', Im fairly sure that I'll not make it to the match because the other Englishmen may take offence at my comments.
I dont think they'll say 'Ah, I see that screaming guy is confirming that other chap at the bar is English - how nice!'
For what it's worth I don't think Taff had any intention of insulting Australians but I can see how it may ****** an Australian off.
As for your usual insult at the bottom Leon - no need for it. I cant trade insults with you today anyway, it would be deflammatory to the memory of the great St Patrick. Have a pinter of the black stuff instead.

Who knows? Been to his supposed grave though.
Was in Liverpool for Paddy's last year - Liverpool played Portsmouth - definitely better craic over there. Loads of people were full drunk by 2 in the afternoon

Case in point: I'm English / Scots-Irish / German. I can celebrate St. Paddy's and Octoberfest, which is nice. Only problem is that, with those three backgrounds, I keep wanting to kick my own ******....
