Go figure  :glare: , you may as well stick one of many old threads here this season and save folks typing it all out again. Its a freaking mystery. Not only to the faithful, but the players rafa and likely god himself. What the hell did we all just watch there lol  ???

I don't understand.

Why do we play better in the Champions League than we do in the Premiership?

What am I missing here?

In the CL most teams do not use tactics such as "defend all game long and pray for a point". The game is more open most times while when you play against a side like Blackburn you know that they will be defending all game long in order to get a point.

I won't even bother reading posts such as "hello UEFA Cup" because everytime there's a poor result it's a knee-jerk reaction that changes when we win.

We beat Leverkusen and everyone is saying that we will win the CL. Yes we won but take it a step at a time. You can't go five steps at once.

No shots on target and struggling to come up with a Man of the match tells it's own story I'm afraid. Teams who come to Anfield determined and prepared to work hard for their spoils have been dispatched with aplomb in the past but not tonight. Blackburn got what they desered,a  point ???

The weird thing is we may turn up Sunday and witness a 6 goal thriller such is the inconsistency of this Liverpool team. However should Everton come for a point (which they surely will no matter what the players, manger etc....say before the game) then I fear they may get not just the point but entry into the CL although such is the inconsistency at present don't back against bolton or even Charlton snatching it at the death !!!

i say its our style right now at the moment, in a european cup as in people have said is very open and in our results we see what our players can do and how they perform. Coming back to the epl with teams like blackburn, norwich southhampton looking for the point, we cant seem to get any momentum or force to our attack.

The teams dig in and the game doenst move in the attacking end which turns into a low scoring and often just becomes a time. Our team at this point is to ridged and not flexible enough to compete with lessor teams thats why it ended up in a tie.

i'm gutted we didn't get the 3 points but i didn't see such a bad game as lots of other people. (admittedly i was in a crowded bar with a ****** reception and behind a gang of screaming girls).

gerrard had plenty of good moments as did garcia and when we went forward we looked fluid and imaginative. what let us down again was many poor first touches and a lack of penetration from both strikers. baros was pretty poor and for me morientes didn't do a lot to support his rep.

all this plus a very organised blackburn lost us the other two points.

i think its time we look for a manager that is 100% for the club and not one that is looking for his next job all the time.

Is there something going among the players? ??? If we are playing an away game, it would make me feel easier but we are at home and what a disappointed result and performance. It seems they are just taken it as a job with no passion whatsoever. Complete overhaul needed.

wow the last 2 posts are pathetic.  Benitez just said hes not looking for a new job, and akuma look for a new argument because the one your using is worn out.  Just keep your heads up, we'll go at everton like there's no tommorow.
