Milan Baros plays for one reason and it isn't Liverpoool Football Club .???

Whilst i don't expect every player to be like Jamie Carragher  I do expect them to be professional

I've always been when one of Milans' biggest fans and have defended his play umpteen times on here but i think his comments about the 93 League Cup final are quite telling. He said he didn't take any pleasure in the win that year because he was tactically subbed 2 minutes from the end of the match? ???

I've not got a vendetta against the lad but this latest spat is another in a long list.

I have noticed his team play getting better. He will improve on his game and maturity. :;):

before xmas, his goal scoring record in the league wasn't far off 1 a game! he's dipped in form since then, but he's still a quality player.

i keep seeing that overhead kick he did against newcastle at anfield, only missed by inches n would've been goal of the season. when he has the slightest bit of confidence, they guy is pure class, n i think he has every right to sulk at being replaced by harry kewell for the final, who even SAYS he's not fully fit.
we've only won it 5 times

He's never had a proper run in the side. Owen preferred to play with Heskey, and his hammy has interupted him this season.

If Milan goes to a club like barcelona, we'll all scream when he scores goals.

Give the lad a chance, and he'll prove his class.

In February 1987, Kenny Dalglish bought John Aldridge from Oxford.  Aldo was a proven goalscorer put at the end of the '87 season was concerned because he felt he wouldn't fit into the teams playing style as Ian Rush's replacement alongside Paul Walsh.  Dalglish reassured him by stating that he was going to buy players during the summer that would complement him.  True to his word Dalglish bought John Barnes (the best gift a goal poacher could ever get).  Houghton and Beardsley were also bought to help feed Aldo.

Clever buying during the summer of '87 helped to create one of our greatest ever teams that would surely have claimed a fifth european cup for the club.  Dalglish bought good players that really complemented each other.  It was like putting a jig saw together.

We have four top class players to build Liverpools future around...Morientes, Carragher, Alonzo and Gerrard.  However, it's pointless having a guy like Morientes up front when we don't have wingers to cross the ball.  Remember Barnes' cross for Aldos finish in the '88 cup semi final against Forest....thats the service that Morientes needs....its up to Benitez to find the man to provide it.  It's worth recalling that while Aldo was banging in goal after goal for Liverpool courtesy of Barnes, he went 20 games without scoring for Ireland during the same period because Jack Charltons Ireland team played a completely different style that did not play to Aldos strengths.

Baros is not a team player and never will be.  Baros and Morientes will not work because Baros won't be happy unless he is recognised as the star of the show.  We need a Beardsley or Litmanen type player....someone creative that will work his socks off for the team and also score goals.  Ideally, If we could sell Baros for 10 million and offload a few of Houlliers buddies Benitez should make a bold move and bring Owen back to anfield.  Given that we sold him for peanuts it would cost us big time but so be it.

In conclusion, there is no place at anfield for selfish players like Baros.  We have nucleus of a good side.  During the summer Benitez must offload the ****** and bring in players that will complement the few star players we possess.
