Just wanted to know whats the story with Heskey out of the side lately?
Football is a simple game, all you have to do is pass the ball to a player in a red shirt.

My view is, I'd rather have Pongolle, Le Tallec and Baros ahead of Heskey...

I'd rather have a fan out the kop than Emile Heskey!

We get frustrated because every now and then Heskey gives a glimpse of the kind of player that he can and should be week in week out. If he was simply cr#p then it wouldn't be so bad. Heskey (we all know) has the attributes - raw pace, skill and strength to be a cracking player. Unfortunately he hasn't the conviction or fight to match those abilities.

The reason we get p#ssed is simple.

The Chelsea performance.

The treble season. He looked bright sharp, quick, strong... just classy in general. He seemed to have it all.

The standards he's set himself are high. He has it in him, he never does it often enough. Its not even the goals... if he scored 3 from 12 and put in 6 performances out of 12 like the one against chelsea we'd all accept him, but the fact is most of the time he does f##k all.

I would either use him from the bench for the rest of the season or let him rot in the reserves and give Pongolle or Le Tallec a place on the bench.

What ever happens when he comes back form injury, he must leave in the summer.

If Houllier goes in the summer, I doubt very much Heskey will last much longer

Make sure you are sitting down Stu, because I have a shock for you.......I agree with you 100%!!!

Heskey occasionally shows glimpses of what he is really capable of, and when he is good, there are few better in England (and not many in Europe) at punishing opposition with their hard running.

However, Heskey only shows that kind of form in 4 or 5 games a season.

I honestly don't think Heskey is cr#p, in fact, I think that on his day he's very good, but we hardly ever see him "on his day".

Its a mental thing....
