Stu I disagreed with you previously but I now give you the up most respect for posting this thread, I would bench Gerrard in a blink of an eye after todays performance.

Overated big headed, attitude problemed ****** who's been made out to be something he's not!!

One man team my ******!!

Alonso's 10 tmies the player.

I was hoping he will pull his weight in a final like this but it seems he is just no longer interested. Wonder how long before Rafa will bench him or sub him during the course of the match to show that he is treated just like every other player.

I agree Stu, he played ****** today, in the second half he didn't do anything apart from score for Chelsea, the amount of times a player was near him with the ball and he never put a tackle in was unbelievable

I think we should face it guy, Gerrard has made his mind up and won't be at Anfield next season but to be fair I think it's a possitive, don't kick off on me but I think with him talking ****** about either win things or he's off, etc just unsettles the team and we could do with the £35m+ for Rafa to spend, Everton lived on without Rooney and we can live on without Gerrard!!

Igor and Hammans been subbed for less.
We want our team to get 4th place and to progress in the CL we seem to play better without him, I love him it hurts me that this has to happen.
I cannot predict the future but some hoe SG is not in it.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I doubt that rafa would not start gerrard against leverkusen although i think he should because stevie might get well ****** off at him. Although i think he should as if he doesn't gerrard might start to think that he is gauranteed a fist team place and we all know what that did to owen .

Hello!

Thing is , Stevie G will never be dropped. He's the first name on the team sheet.

It's just wishful thinking by some of you boys.

If Chelsea do want him come June, then we should just raid Abramovich's pockets for about 35 million.

That will pay off some of the clubs 20 m debts, and a good 2/3 quality  players from the continent.

You have to remember Stevei G, often bottles it in big games.
Euro 2004, he was poor. A lot of european games he is poor,(barring olimpiacos). Against ******,Chleski, Man Poo, he normally bottle it.
I think thats a better deal than keeping him to be honest.
we've already got his replacement..Xabi Alonso.
