Carson - Is he ready

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Now it is time for Dudek to hang up his gloves and let Carson have a go between the sticks. He made a howler in the first half by parrying a shot into the middle of the area, luckily for us no one was following it in for them, and even worse came at full time when we all know what happened.
ok you might say he pulled off 2 great saves but the fact of the matter is 1 was going wide and the other was a dive for the cameras

I simply could not agree more.

Dudek is not good enough, and we will NEVER win the league whilst he is our number one.

You accept my apologies? I still haven't seen Scott Carson play.
He should get a chance but Dudek had a mixed game last night.
he made 2 fine saves back to back to keep us infront earlier, then made that howler at the end.

leonmc, Arsenal won the league with Jens Lehmann in goal  :;):

IF YOUR GOOD ENOUGH YOUR OLD ENOUGH. The lad will play with no fear something that dudek does play with. Dudeks saves last night were alright nothing great, he could easily have just tipped the one in the 2nd half over the bar without having to do his customary roll. The first half block was awful i was right behind that it swerved a little but not that much for him not to catch it.
Put Carson in on sunday we're not expected to win so nothing ventured nothing gained.

We need another quality/experienced keeper on the same level as Cudicini or Cesar.  Backup keepers for their respective teams, but still a world of difference between them and ours.

We desparately need a new keeper and a CB to replace Hyppia, and partner Carra.

All 'multi-trophy' winning sides need a good strong competent keeper, history has proved this time and time again.

Liverpool - Clemence
Arsenal - Seaman (in his prime)
Manure - Schmeichel
Notts Forest - Shilton

Dudek has quite simply lost the plot, he was so shaky against Leverkusen it was confidence boosting for the opposition. They were banging the ball towards him whenever they had an opportunity!!

I feel Benitez, for all his coolness, was p1ssed off with Dudek last night, I really feel his days are numbered.

Did you see Rafa's face, when they scored?  Fu(k - I wouldn't want to be in Dudek's shoes - he looked like he was going to run over and rip his head off!

Saying that, after Houllier, it's nice to see a Liverpool manager showing some emotion!  He was constantly on the line screaming at the team!

Do we agree to give Carson a match then, If not we should buy Glen Johnson, he looked pretty handy against Everton when Cuddicini got sent off

i reckon if Kirkland can get himself fit then he will be our number 1 next year with Carson as 2nd choice keeper. One with is certain though, Jerzy Dudek's anfield days are numbered, no way will he be here next season. Benitez was in my eyes clearly furious at the end of the match when we conceded late.

I say fork Dudek and Kirkland off, buy Cudicini and have Carson as 2nd choice cos Dudek is dodgy and kirkland is Darren Anderton in disguise :;):

I would love to have Cudicini as our keeper, but I can't see Mourinio letting him go...  he would be my first choice everytime.

DUDEK JUST ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH:(
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

There just arnt that many decent keepers out there at the mo, or at least not that many that are available. We got to give Carson a chance before its too late.....
How many times have we seen dudek make a daft mistake like that?
