Hamburg wants hamman - Should we keep him or let him go

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Hamman seems to have become a bit of a scape-goat for a lot of fans recently. I keep hearing he is getting old and losing pace - What pace? Hammans' game has never been about pace. It has always been based on excellent positional sense, a responsibility to break up attacks, sensible passing and the odd 30 yard pile-driver into the top corner. I say we still need a player with these qualities and would be very dissapointed if he doesn't sign/get a new deal. Am not saying he should be a starter week in week out but i'm sure we would miss him like hell if we let him go.

Same goes for Sami - Fans are whinging he has lost a step, he's getting old and losing his pace - Again - What pace? 'Dolf' has always been as slow as lame camel! I would love us to bring in someone to genuinely compete for that centre-back spot but would be just as gutted if we sold Sami as i would if Hamman moves on.
