If we lose 4 matches all season and still manage to win the league, with the best squad we can possibly put together regardless their race and origin, AND the losses are to MANU and Everton, I would take the league title any day.

why not sign 2, the guy is 27. If we have anymore injuries as we have had this year, we should try and pick up a youth aswell.

I think its about time we started seeing more of Zak Whitbread hes young and could be a perfect replacement for Hypia.

I would like to see more of David raven aswell they both look good when they played in the Carling Cup this season they both made some last gasp tackles when we beat Tottenham on peanlties

What we need is World Class talent. Mellor or Morientes, you choose.

These are not the times where we can wait for young players to develop into class acts, we need world class players as soon as possible.

No our foreign players don't have heart, thats why they were poor against Olympiakos and Arsenal two huge games of the season, wait they played well in those games.

And by foreign I guess you mean any player that isn't from Liverpool or England for that matter.

Lets get rid of every player whose from another country and let the youngsters from the academy be the senior players!!!!!

Very true indeed.

Our need of experienced quality is immediate, Benitez can worry about our youngsters later....I am sure he will play an important part in building a GREAT Liverpool youth system.

I really trust Benitez, he's a very smart man.

You want local talent yet the local player, our captain was annonymous against Everton,Manchester United,Southampton,Birmingham,Charlton and Fulham. Gerrard has been great these past few years, he's been in good form earlier this season but he's not as good as he was last year at the moment. It just shows that even local talent such as Gerrard doesn't guarantee that the player will play good in all games.

Its not that our players don't care or don't have the passion its that they can't play as a team consistantly.

Rock you've misunderstood me. I am not bashing Gerrard just pointing out that he's been playing below his standards for a month or so.

He was sensational earlier this season and in a few games after he returned however he's been too quiet recently. Even though he scored against Olympiakos his performance was average.

Carra is not superman either but he gives 200 % in every game he plays in [he's played all games except against Burnley].

Give him some time AB. On the average, defenders tend to be the most consistant...followed by midfielders...followed by strikers.

Gerrard has been awesome last season. He started this season awesomely. He has been average for the last few games...... Much better than other players in our team...so kind of pisses me off when ppl have a go at him. To be honest, the whole team sucked against manure, bluesh1t & birmingham..... but everyone just focuses on gerrard.

Anyway gerrard is due a good game or 2 now. He has a long break. Watch him go against chelsea....He can be our potential match winner.

Give him some time? You're saying giving him time as if he were new to the Premiership yet you're not willing to give time to Garcia,Nunez and Josemi?

When we beat Charlton and Fulham we didn't win because Gerrard had a good game[he had p1ss poor games] we won because we played as a team.

Rock the reason I mention Gerrard is because he is the CAPTAIN yet he hasn't acted like one in games rescently.

Give him time as in he is burnt out. He has been practically carrying our team for the last season or 2. Now he is having some rest (due to being suspended against leverkuson). Lets see how he performs against chelsea in the league cup.

And when haven't i been patient with the spanish players.... all that i mention is i can't understand why garcia keeps playing on the wing...
