OVER THE TOP REACTIONS – not everything is black or white…
Saturdays result was disappointing, and Saturday’s performance was worse. BUT I would repeat what I have said on earlier posts there is no point going OTT on it.
At present we have:
• Some key players (in particular Alonso) missing;
• too many mediocre, (at best), players on our books; and
• one or two players who have been very good servants and may now be past their best (Hamman and Hyppia?).

In such circumstances, we travel to most away games in hope rather than belief that we will get a result.

yeah....but we had baros, morientas & gerrard. Rafa had to play to their strengths. By playing Baros on the right, makes him inefficient (seeing how he always keeps his head down).

We could have got something if smicer was in the starting line-up instead of biscan & playing 4-4-2. Playing 4-5-1 against arsenal is 1 thing. Playing 4-5-1 against birmingham is something else......

Morientes hardly get the services he desired. Most of the time, he has to get out of attacking to get the ball. Then when he got the ball, it's not even a good ball, it's a dying ball......

i wouldnt say half the reaction where OTT the team played complete and utter ****** and deserve nearly all the critisim they get.How many times do we see they same half hearted attempts at playing a game its bloody depressing.And how many times do pple say Rafa is great for not blaming Injuries for our results then come on here and blame the result on Injuries .Its ok to lose if u play good or play ****** and win is also exceptable but to play ****** and lose well thats just bloody bad manners.

Exactly,  I don't think any true Liverpool fan would be as upset and disappointed, as we are at the moment, if the players actually played "their socks off". It's the level of half hearted and lack lustre performances by most of the players that is so fustrating.  Can you imagine the team we would have if everyone put as much effort in as JC?

Even with the level of injuries (zzzzzz.....) we still have the quality to beat Southampton and Birmingham, as long as the players want to win, and have the hunger/passion for winning.
