I havent slept all night - Because of liverpool yesterday

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Ciggy » Sun Feb 13, 2005 10:06 am

I went to bed at 7 last night because I was that gutted, but I couldnt sleep and lay there all night thinking what happened to my team?  I planned on having a few drinks and having a good weekend 2 points away from everton.

Then what do we get? We got a team that turned up at Birmingham in body, but not in mind.  This has to be the worst performance ive seen them play for years and years.

And I and I think we all do want to know WHY?
What is happening behind the scenes?
What is the reason for such an awful no show performance?
Us fans deserve more than this, we are a joke at times it hurts the humiliation.

Have these players no shame or face? Or are they only interested in that wage packet every month.  I would run through fire, clime mountains for Liverpool it is in my blood I idolise them, and when so many players join our club they always say ive been a Liverpool fan all my life, its a great opportunity to play for them. ???

I doubt it very much, theres one player who gives his all and we all know who that is, Jamie Carragher.
If only they where all like him hey.

I hate to say this but everton have a team they have passion and fight till the end, sweat blood for there supporters, I am jealous of that they they have it we dont.
We have better players but they have a better team, if only we could combine the 2 together then we would be beating everyone in sight.

Only good thing to come out of yesterday is that Boro and Bolton got a draw and everton got beat, so the table sort of stays the same with boro 2 points behind us :glare: .

We dont have a game for 9 days now, and lets hope and pray we see a god damn better performance then, the team need a good kick up the @rse to know who and what they are playing for, and they need to start doing the talking on the pitch and not to the media, false promises to the fans just dont wash, its time to pay up and shut up.

Wonder if they slept last night on there big fat wage cheque?
Cause I certainly didnt, and I dont think rafa did either.
These coming up games will be the perfect opportunity for them to stand up and ask for forgiveness for putting us fans through hell and embarressment.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

excellent points Lynds, the manner of the defeat was what was troubled me more than anything, I thought a point would be a good result as Brum are tough at home.

If we had lost 2-1  going down fighting I still would have been disappointed yes, but not nealry as much as I am at the moment, especially after a similarly poor performance against Soton a few weeks ago, you would think the players would have learnt their lesson, but no.

Yes we have many injuries etc, but that is no excuse for a passionless performance (not to blame every player as some like Carra are putting in the effort).

I found myslef sfcreaming at the TV, come on lads look at the badge you are wearing on your cheat, show some ****** passion. Some of the players need a good talking to from some of the fans about what that Liverbird means!

I slept ok, but at work i had to keep a stiff upper lip when people asked how i was doing, as I didn't want to say what how i really felt as I would have been fired!    :D

On Gerrard, it's a bit of a catch 22 stituation.

I am relcutant to see him go but am quickly relaising it is very possible. the catch 22 is that I thinbk he shoudl be stripped of the captaincy immediatley as he is not putting the effort in of Carra, who should be cpatian as he leads by exmaple, not that Gerrard hasn't in the past but I think Gerrard is sick of Liverpool and wants out , which is a shame.

However if Gerrard were stripped of the captaincy then what ever remaining hope there is of keeping him would be flushed down the cr@pper.

I was p*ssed off with the Birmingham result.

All they had to do is beat them and that would put real pressure on the Bluesh*tes.

No blame on Rafa, he's just been presented with a roster of players, most of them are absolute ******. With the injury list, he is doing the best he can with what he has.

Every defeat and gerrard gets blamed ?

If i had to play with biscan, i would also play like sh1t.....

Gerrard has to take fair share of the blame, but stripping him of the captaincy is just plain foolish.....

If Gerrard plays poorly = strip him of captaincy

then

Rafa makes poor decision = sack him ???

Gerrard had one of his poorest games but he was still miles better than other players in the team (i don't have to name them......).

Why do ppl just blame Gerrard for this defeat? To have fans like this, I guess he's better off joining some other clubs.

Simply too much attention on him lately and giving SG one good reason to leave in the summer.  :(

Im gutted over that result but lets remember while we didnt catch up on Everton we didnt lose any ground either. There always next week and as other people have stated already the position we are in this season despite the new regime, the quick departure of Owen and major injury list , it aint all bad but then again i may have been popping too many pills

I just can't believe that result on saturday, yeah ok we lost but it was the way in which we lost, like Lynds sais their wasn't any fight and we never even looked like pullin the game back, we never capitalise on other teams mistake

CGGY - As I've said before on here, we can't call LFC a team at the moment.  The definition of a team, is 2 or more people coming together to achive a commom goal.  This is clearly not the case anymore.  SG obviously has something going on in his head and Hamman & Biscan't know they are on the way out.
