Don't believe your own word's Mick !! We will be seen off big style by Chelsea in Cardiff.
There is nothing down for this team, too many players with a lack of either ability and effort.
We have big structural problems here, nothing either in the Reserves or the Academy teams, they are getting beat just as consistently. We need a clear out and some decent replacements bought in.

Sorry to correct you A.B they have actually leaked less goals than us after the arrival of Jean Alain Boumsong. Now that, is what we should have purchased instead of Garcia, Josemi. Incidentally Garcia + Josemi transfer fees = Boumsong's transfer fees. Just dun understand why we were snubbed. Rick Parry's mismanagement again? Or Rafa's ignorance of players outside Spain?

Poly lad, you DO NOT buy a player for £8m if he turned down a free transfer move six months earlier. Simply on principal.

Feels young to be called a lad again...Anyway that was during GH reign that Boumsong turned down the move. Now Rafa is at the helm. I see players getting re-instated for their countries once managers are changed.

Atm everyone's solution to our shambolic performances is to buy new players. I took a hard look at the salary structure of soccer and realize that it is about 10 years behind that of successful global companies.

There is this thing called variable wage. Meaning u win a game u get £20 000, u lose, u get only £5 000. Since most players are being paid £25 000 and above weekly, this should be reasonable enough. Of course there will be a basic salary component say, around £10 000 per week (or else players in clubs like WBA will suffer greatly). But the variable wage should always be much more than the basic wage component.

Anyway the above theory must be giving a headache to most of the blokes here so for those who can't make sense of the above paragraph you can go ahead and read other more digestible posts.

You think you are very clever don't you polygemus? You just don't understand the simple theory of economics, that of demand and supply. Currently there are too much money in the game and clubs are paying over the odds to land their desired players. Look at the case of Ashley Cole? Arsenal (a successful club) are following a rigid internal salary cap and the rumors are that Chelsea and Barca are willing to treple his salary overnight...hence Arsenal won't stand a fu-cking chance of retaining him. So what are you talking about variable wages here? This is not McDonalds they are working for...no work no pay??

And what does the salary structure got to do with us signing Boumsong or our bad performance yesterday, smartass? Get back to topic...
