Liverpool eyes up sponsored stadium

Julia Day
Monday February 7, 2005

For Liverpool fans it will be verging on heresy, but the club today looks likely to follow in Arsenal's footsteps by offering the Anfield stadium title for sale in a bid to make money

hope it not the coca-cola stadium

i know everyone is saying what a travesty it would be (and it would) if we 'sold out' and left the new stadium to sponsorship, but the facts dont lie. If the ditry gooners got 100 million for their enw one shouldnt we be trying to do the same thing?
I dunno what it should be called, as long as we get a fat wad of cash and dont have to sell out liek chelski then im happy just to see us play some great football

Its  more likely to be the Theatre of Tapas
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

What company is called Costa del? If we get it sponsored which is what the post is about I think the company who have just forked out hudnreds of millions may be more than a little inclined to demand the naming rights to the stadium.  We could very easily end up playing at the 'Rebok Arena' (a nice ring to it but Im not a fan of the name) or something similiar
