According to norwegian papers has Houllier promised JAR that he has a place in the squad in the future too.
What do you think ? Should he have ? ???

Well we hardly have an abundance of left footed/sided players. He is a decent player, just isn't really a full-back or left-sided midfielder who is so good that he is a fixture in the team

Thor I assume your Norwegian, if so then your more an authority on what I'm about to say so perhaps you'll comment.  JAR's form has never been the same since the time he was being requested to go back home for his national service.  At the time he seemed very cocerned about losing his place in at the club and was able to delay this till later.  He also got an injury around the same time.  I don't know, has he still to do the national service, if so when? Is it a big deal? Could it hanging over him and effecting his game?  Don't know Thor but he was playing a blinder for two years and scoring some good goals from both left back and left mid before the issue cam up!

We associate him with brilliant goals and aggressive runs more than his defending. That is the trouble, he isn't really doing anything at the moment

Thanx Big Al, but I`m hardly an authority! However, last september I think, we had the incident with JAR and John Carew. JC hit JAR in the face while they were in the players bus. I think this incident had an impact on JAR that he wasn`t quite aware of, and it has possibly affected his performance since then.
It`s not a big deal, in my opinion, whether he pkays for the national team or not. There is scheduled a match against N Irland i think, now in february. I believe JAR will be plying along with Norways other foreign players.
Anyways, he is a determined, hardworking young man, and before you know it he is hammering goals like the one vs United.  :D

Yeah Thor I forgot about the Carew incident, do you think that affected his relationships within the Norway Team?

I'm slightly concerned by reports that Middlesboro are set to sue us for £10m over the Ziege transfer. This has lasted longer than Ziege did at Anfield!

It is difficult to say ! But the new manager for our national team, Åge Hareide ( ex Norwich and Man City - player ), has talked with Carew about joining the team. C has accepted so it`s exciting to see what will happen when JAR and JC meet again.
We are many who thought that JAR got away too easily - JC was sent home and JAR just got a warning ! But according to our papers JAR consider himself over and done with it ! Let`s give him the benefit of the doubt, OK ?

Owzat here we have another example of Houlliers inept preformance as manager.
Fergie can roam about the world prising players form under the noses of clubs, agents and football associations. He gets away scot free (excuse the pun)  but he can do this because he has the right people about him and he's a shrewd operator he did'nt grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth so nobody's going to get one over on him.

In fact he's only now in trouble because he's got mixed up with two Irishmen who take the eye out of your haed and sell it back to you.  But they'll sort it all out long before the courts, bet you!

We need someone like Fergie, a ruthless schemer who loves the thrill of the game( AND I DON'T JUST MEAN FOOTBALL)  Houllier will probably get into a court room and blame, Thompson, Parry, Moores, the fans.  This could well become his get out of jail free card.  He could resign and walk away saying that he could'nt work under a club which bribed agents and players.  He'd get a job in France managing a second division side befroe fading into insignifigance.

Funny but there are so many similarities between Houllier and Tony Blair, both masters of the media, both dodgy, both egotistical, both happy for someone else to take the wrap and ironically both acheiving so much early on just for it to turn to dust in their hands.
