Baros

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

As much I love Baros,I don`t think he has a future at Liverpool...The lad has bags of skill, but just isn`t a team player...he needs to lift up his head when running with ball...Nando needs a player who will pass the ball not someone running around like a headless chicken.....

Well I suppose it depends on who you want to be scoring the goals, Baros has been outstanding always for the Czech playing with Koller who is a very unselfish player whos skill and physique is in the mould of Morientes.  So Baros should be able to be the same with Nando, on the other hand if u want nando to score the goals then he will need a different sort of player to baros alongside him.

not meaning to spread stupid rumours, but heard this from a valued source of mine:
Apparently...
We are selling Milan Baros in the summer, this is why Bellamy recently turned down his move to birmingham. The Newcastle star is said to want a move to liverpool and with baros going in the summer Liverpool are frantically trying to finalise financial matters.
Bellamy would then be available for the champions league... where we will play him on the right wing

maybe its rubbish abuot baros but its well known that bellamy wants to come to us. i have been thinking about it long and hard and in all hopnesty i could see a bellamy morientex partnership working pretty well, but i dunno, heads spinning lately with the rumour mill in overdrive

i put this in somewhere else but apprently now blackburn will sell freguson to get bellamy. its all go today!!!

And if Bellamy had a bust up with Souness because he was made to paly on the right, why would he slot seamless into an identical position only under a different manager?

Baros is main striker for Czech republic..nando may be a big strong player but you can`t compare him to that plank Koller....Nando will be our main striker not some foil for baros....

Milan Baros is turning out to be a team player lately and i'm pretty sure that he is the right man at the right place. He is always fighting for the ball and taking on defenders. Whether he has his head down when playing or not, this lad is still very young and will be an anfield legend together with Fernando Morientes in the years to come.

He makes a difference when he is in the team. Remember when he was out injured, we did miss his runs and ego to take on defenders. He is always out to help the team. His contribution in the League Semi-final leg 1 against Watford at Anfield is one among many examples. If he really wanted to move, he would have done so last summer, but i'm sure the lad believes in Liverpool Football Club's future and Rafael Benitez's plans.

Trust the guy. He is still young and gaining experience match after match. Afterall, he is Euro 2004's top scorer.
Beware fellow defenders, Milan is coming !

Anyone who thinks the only LFC player of the last 5 years (besides Owen) who knew what a goal is should be sold is mad and should be shot.

I agree, Baros from when he came back from injury, has been the most brightest spark up front lately, and is doing all the right things for the team. The fact that now he says he is a Liverpool player and not looking to go elsewhere, says wonders about this kid's maturity. He had a bad season last, and Houllier didn;t do much to assure Baros that he is here for the long term, prolly why he wanted to ship off during the break.
Since then, he has been a wonderful player. As far as selfish goes, hey, what striker isn't selfish? Thats what they are, they are a diferent breed to the midfielders and forwards, strikers are meant to take the ball and run and shoot. Thats all they do, more often than not, they are succesful at doing it. However,
Id rather see a Cisse-Morientes partnership than anything, that'll be sweet.

Why Cisse above Baros, what did Cisse do when he was fit?

Not much, but at least he was kicking the goals in, and playing into some form. From what his record proves, he is a top goal scorer, and would be a formidable attack in the Premiership and Europe.

Dont forget, he finished last season nursing a broken ankle as well, so that would have dampened his pre-season. So from what i seen of him, he didnt look at all bad mate.

I agree with the big fella here Cisse was not really doing the business when he was fit and i think some of you have very short memories as this was the general opinion at the time now you all are talking him up like he was on fire before. I'm not saying the lad wouldn't have gotten better but to me he looked slightly out of his depth in the premiership poor control and a lack of vision. Like I said these things might have inproved but unfortunetly he never got the chance. Now on to Baros he is improving all the time but it will be down t Raffa if this guy stays or not i think he respects Baros's quality's always giving it his all, butIjust get the fealing Rafa might be looking for another striker but why does this mean the sale of Baros we have other strikers we can of laod.
