Riley has to be the most easiest ref to manipulate. I knew that after Carra got in his face at Anfield against Chelsea that he wouldn't dare to against us.

That's why he didn't give Watford the penalty

Believe me Riley more than owes Liverpool a few decisions the amount of points hes screwed us out of this season :angry:

i would have sacrificed the cc final for beating chelsea cos that would have given us connfidence and put us back in with a chance of catching up with the top 3. riley is a criminal. that was the most iinfluential refereeing decision in the epl this season. he was very unprofessional in giving a few decisions in our favour last night. if i was a watford fan i'd be seriously p1ssed off wit him right now. i thought he had a poor performance as ref despite chris camara singing his praises on sky. I'm still unsure as to whether finnans tackle was a penalty(and thats being totally unbiased) even tho when i saw it first there was no doubt in my mind.

Its not as if he would have been watched after the last time he refereed us

I said at the time what I think. He's not a cheat nor a pussy. He's just a very, very poor referee. FWIW I thought it was a penalty, not a stone-wall cast iron but rather in the 'some you get "I've seen 'em given" category. In the main I don't think he particularly favoured us but he was still very poor. Pelligrino not being booked (I thought he had a good game BTW) was simply a poor decision. Unfortunately there were many others.

to call a referee a cheat is wrong, they are professionals and are only human so they are bound to make mistakes, but cardiff here will come

Agreed refs are only human, but some are better than others by huge margins. I believe Riley 'paid us back' last nite best he could, and thats diabolical. Imagine if we'd gone out to that decision the other way.....We'd be callin for his head on a stick right now. There was a time we had the best refs in the world, but I'd have to question that now. Would Riley have Jack Taylor's bolox to give a first minute penalty in a World Cup Final? I doubt it, but it shouldn't be that way. A penalty, a sending off or whatever is a decision to be made at any time and our refs now just don't cut it. Aint gonna complain too much tho, he may get the Final!!
