Funny how Houllier bemoans bad luck and bad decisions, yet he doesn't admit he has had his fair share of luck. We certainly had a large slice of luck in our "treble" winning season, beating Birmingham on penalties and surviving against Arsenal. The Alavaes game was hardly as convincing as we'd have hoped or expected, good game that it turned out to be

Not to mention that crazy ref in the home tie with Roma - giving a penalty one minute then changing it to a corner!

That's right!

My five quid in the ref's front breast pocket at half time did the trick against Roma!!!  :D
